HUG

This year’s theme, “Heal, Uplift, Grow” (HUG) addresses the importance of supporting women of colors’ mental health amidst  a social landscape where our voices are often questioned, ignored, or undervalued. HUG aims to empower women of color to share their unique stories, thereby destigmatizing the mental health challenges these experiences can cause. Through the Riot Conference, we seek to provide a holistic approach to supporting these women while addressing broader social issues and mental health crises. By fostering healing, uplifting each other, and encouraging personal growth, HUG 2025 will enable young women of color to connect with, destigmatize, and embrace their mental health without carrying undue burdens. In a world where they often feel weighed down by external pressures—yet have so much power to make change—their mental well-being is more crucial than ever.
